Greeting from the President

Dear colleagues,

It is a great honor and pleasure for us to welcome you to the 1st joint meeting between the XXlllrd International Congress on Fibrinolysis & Proteolysis and the XVlth International Workshop on Molecular and Cellular Biology of Plasminogen Activation, which will take place from October 17-21, 2016 in Nihondaira Shizuoka,Japan.

The international Society of Fibrinolysis and Proteolysis and the representatives of Plasminogen Activation Workshop will offer you a high quality and multidisciplinary scientific program in order to provide a full and timely review of the most important aspects of fibrinolysis, plasminogen activation, proteolysis on cell surfaces, and related physiologic and pathologic events.

In joining these two related meetings, we expect a synergy to occur between clinical and basic fibrinolysis and related disciplines that exist at the crossroads of plasminogen acitvation, fibrinolysis, and proteolysis.

We look forward to welcoming you at the Nippondaira Hotel, which is close to Mt. Fuji, recently nominated as a "World Heritage Site".
