We aim to sophisticate medical care, research activities and education. Our department constitutes one of the most comprehensive cardiology practices in Shizuoka Prefecture. It includes more than 10 subspecialized experts trained in coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, heart rhythm disorders, and heart valve diseases. We conduct highly advanced basic and clinical research, contributing to the advancements in cardiology. We are earnest about the education of junior researchers in terms of medical care and research. We organize hands-on activities and small-group lectures, encourage the presentation of our findings at academic conferences, and publish case reports and original articles for students as well as junior and senior residents. In this way, we believe that we can offer advanced and thoughtful care for various cardiovascular diseases and contribute to regional medicine.
