Division of Rheumatology provides medical services for those who have intractable diseases caused by any immunological or rheumatological disorders, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and Sjogren's syndrome etc. Our mission is to make a correct diagnosis, and to induce remission by providing proper medical treatment. Once the remission is attained, the patients are transferred to regional hospitals or clinics for further follow-up. We established the Shizuoka Rheumatism Network in 2007 in order to improve the medical circumstance in Shizuoka prefecture for patients with rheumatological disorders, and functions as a center for Immunology and Rheumatology. Our Division is a certified training institute by Japanese College of Rheumatology.
