What to Bring When being Admitted to Hospital

  1. Toiletries
    Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, conditioner, electric shaver, comb, etc.
    * Hair dryers are available upon request at the nursing station on each ward. Please inform a ward staff member if you would like to use one.
  2. Eating Utensils
    Chopsticks, spoons, teacups, and other utensils are provided with your meals, but you may bring your own if you prefer. *If you bring your own teacup, please make sure that it is non-breakable (e.g., plastic or resin).
  3. Footwear
    To prevent falls in the hospital: At our hospital, we make every effort to ensure that patients can have a safe stay by carefully preventing falls. For footwear during your hospital stay, please bring shoes you are accustomed to wearing, shoes with a secure heel, or rubber-soled sneakers. Please refrain from wearing slippers or resin sandals, as they increase the risk of falling.
  4. Other Daily Necessities
    Underwear, outerwear, indoor shoes(*1), towels, bath towels(*2), tissues, etc.
    *1 Indoor shoes: Please use shoes with soft and quiet soles. Please refrain from wearing slippers as they are slippery and may cause falls.
    *2 Bath towels: You may need two or three.
  5. Admission Guide, Personal Seal, and Writing Utensils
  6. Medications you are taking, medication notebook, and medication information sheets
    You may use a gown borrowed from the hospital, or nightclothes that you have brought with you.

  7. Over-the-counter medications, supplements, and health foods, etc. that you regularly use
  8. Allergy Card

* To prevent accidents, please refrain from bringing dangerous items such as knives, lighters, razors, etc.
* The toiletries mentioned above, as well as TV earphones, can also be purchased at the hospital shop.
* If you have a lot of luggage, carts are available to transport it to the wards. They are located at the main entrance, so please feel free to use them. Please return them to their original place after use.

Note:
Please be selective about what you bring to hospital for your stay. There is limited storage space around your bed/room. Please only bring essentials and necessary for medical treatment.
