This department will conduct the following research activities during the period until the end of FY 2020 (current plan) in order to achieve the goal of its establishment.

Current state analysis of medical care provision system by region and by medical department

• By analyzing various statistical surveys and attending various meetings, we will analyze the state of current medical care provision system by region and by medical department.

Examination of number of doctors required by region and by medical department

• Based on the results of the above and in consideration of the effects by the new medical specialist training system started from FY 2018, we will examine the number of doctors required by region and by medical department.

Improvement of the training system for doctors in regions in shortage of doctors

• Based on the results of all the above, we will study for improvement of the training system for doctors in regions in shortage of doctors.
