Fundamental Nursing

Professor NAGAYA Sachiko

In the Department of Fundamental Nursing, we are incorporating knowledge and theories from related fields, such as behavioral science, viewpoints and thoughts as a nurse based on nursing theory, the formation of a basic attitude as a medical professional, and nursing skills to realize advanced nursing practice to contribute to the health of people who are subject to nursing.

We are in the process of developing scales and conducting research on educational programs in randomized controlled trials, with current topics including "nursing (clinical) ethics", "competency of various occupations", "active learning in nursing education", "empathy in nursing", "mental health for nurses", and "ability to practice nursing in different nursing methods".
