  • June 23, 2026: Mr. Ryosuke Miyazaki's research proposal involving single-cell analysis of cilia-positive tumors was selected for the FY2026 University Research Project (Graduate Student Research Support Program).

  • June 23, 2026: A review article on hereditary diffuse gastric cancer by Yamada and Shinmura was published in the journal Surgery (Geka) as part of the special issue, "Scirrhous Gastric Cancer: Frontiers in Clinical Practice and Research."
  • June 9, 2026: A manuscript on black pigmentation of the ileum, with Prof. Shinmura as the corresponding author, was accepted for publication in the journal Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and was made available online on the journal's website today
  • June 8, 2026: Dr. Rei Ishikawa, Project Researcher in the Department of Diagnostic Pathology, received the Academic Encouragement Award from the Shomonkai Alumni Association of Hamamatsu University School of Medicine and gave a research presentation at the University's Anniversary Ceremony held on June 8.

  • May 29, 2026: A press release was issued regarding our paper published in Scientific Reports on the discovery of diagnostic markers for distinguishing pulmonary metastases of oral squamous cell carcinoma from primary lung squamous cell carcinoma. The release was also featured on the university website.

  • May 16, 2026: Dr. Masanori Goto joined the Department of Tumor Pathology as an Assistant Professor.
  • May 15, 2026: Our paper on the discovery of diagnostic markers for distinguishing pulmonary metastases of oral squamous cell carcinoma from primary lung squamous cell carcinoma, for which Dr. Shinmura served as corresponding author, was accepted by Scientific Reports and published online on the journal website today. The article has also been indexed in PubMed.
  • April 20, 2026: The Department of Tumor Pathology has begun teaching its portion of the pathology course for third-year medical students. The course will continue until June 23, and the examination for the section taught by the department will be held on July 13.
  • April 13, 2026: Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura, Dr. Shinya Katsuragi, Dr. Rei Ishikawa, and Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki will give oral presentations at the 115th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pathology, to be held in Sapporo from April 16 to 18. Dr. Ishikawa will also give a presentation for the second-round screening of the Japanese Society of Pathology 100th Anniversary Young Investigator Award in Pathological Research.
  • March 16, 2026: Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, received a certificate for the Excellent Paper Award, Student Special Category, from President Watanabe at the award ceremony for the FY2025 Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Excellent Paper Award.
  • March 6, 2026: Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, received an Excellent Poster Presentation Award at the 31st Hamamatsu Medical Science Symposium.
  • March 6, 2026: Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, gave a presentation in the tumor microenvironment session at the 98th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Gastric Cancer Association, held in Okinawa.
  • March 5, 2026: At the Faculty Meeting of the Graduate School of Medicine, Medical Science Program, the conferment of a doctoral degree by coursework to Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was approved.
  • March 5, 2026: The content of a paper on ameloblastoma by Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was released as a press release and was also introduced on the university website.
  • March 2, 2026: A farewell party was held for Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura and Dr. Rei Ishikawa of the Department of Tumor Pathology. Both will continue to work in the department as specially appointed researchers from April onward.
  • February 27, 2026: Regarding the provisional selection of new Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research: Dr. Katsuragi was selected for a Young Scientists grant as principal investigator; Dr. Shinmura was selected for two Scientific Research C grants as co-investigator; and Dr. Sakai was selected for a Scientific Research C grant as co-investigator.
  • February 26, 2026: Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, advanced to the second-round screening of the Japanese Society of Pathology 100th Anniversary Young Investigator Award in Pathological Research, which will involve a presentation at the 115th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pathology.
  • February 24, 2026: A paper on ameloblastoma by Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was published Online First on the website of the Journal of Dental Research. It has also been indexed in PubMed.
  • February 18, 2026: It was decided that Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, would receive the Excellent Paper Award, Student Special Category, in the FY2025 Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Excellent Paper Award program.
  • January 22, 2026: The doctoral degree examination for Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was held.
  • January 19, 2026: Dr. Shinmura was in charge of the pathology section at a CPC held at Hamamatsu Rosai Hospital.
  • January 8-10, 2026: Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, presented his research at the ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium in San Francisco, USA.
  • January 6, 2026: A make-up examination for second-year medical students in General Pathology, Tumor Pathology section, was held.
  • January 5, 2026: A make-up practical examination for second-year medical students in General Pathology, Tumor Pathology section, was held.
  • December 22, 2025: An in-department presentation meeting was held for third-year medical students participating in the basic research training program. Two groups also gave presentations at the general afternoon session.

  • December 10, 2025: Dr. Shinmura gave a lecture on his research at the Second Department of Internal Medicine of our university.
  • November 19, 2025: Dr. Shinmura gave a lecture entitled "Genetic Testing in Pathology" in the graduate course "Genetic Medicine and Regenerative Medicine."
  • November 17, 2025: The examination for the second-year medical student pathology practical course was held.
  • November 17-21, 2025: The practical training sessions assigned to the Department of Tumor Pathology were conducted as part of the "Oncology" course for doctoral students in the Graduate School of Medicine.
  • November 10, 2025: The basic research training program for third-year medical students began. The students have been working enthusiastically.
  • November 2, 2025: As part of the pathology practical course for second-year medical students, Tumor Pathology section, students worked on pathology diagnosis challenge questions using virtual slides of tumors. All students who submitted their answers achieved scores above the passing level.
  • November 2, 2025: Dr. Shinmura of the Department of Tumor Pathology served as a judge at the post-festival event of the Medical School Festival. The performances clearly reflected the students' creativity and dedicated practice, and they were very impressive.
  • October 31, 2025: The research project of Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was selected for a research grant from the Kurozumi Medical Foundation, and he attended the award ceremony.
  • October 29, 2025: An abstract on small intestinal adenocarcinoma submitted by Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, to the ASCO Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium in San Francisco was accepted. The presentation will be given in January next year.
  • October 14, 2025: A paper on clinical laboratory medicine by Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was published in Clinica Chimica Acta.
  • October 10, 2025: Dr. S. M. Jahurul Haque enrolled in the doctoral program and joined the Department of Tumor Pathology as a graduate student.
  • October 7, 2025: Dr. Tomio Arai of the Tokyo Metropolitan Geriatric Hospital and Institute of Gerontology gave a lecture on General Pathology to second-year medical students at our university. He also kindly donated to the Department of Tumor Pathology a copy of the latest book for which he served as volume editor, Best Practice in Pathological Diagnosis: Lower Gastrointestinal Cancer.
  • September 29, 2025: The graduation examination in Diagnostic Pathology for sixth-year medical students was held.
  • September 27, 2025: Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, presented his research on small intestinal adenocarcinoma at the 84th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association, held in Kanazawa.
  • September 25, 2025: A second make-up examination for third-year medical students in Systemic Pathology, Tumor Pathology section, was held.
  • September 8, 2025: The General Pathology lectures for second-year medical students, Tumor Pathology section, began. The practical examination will be held on November 17, and the lecture examination for the Tumor Pathology section will be held on December 15.
  • August 29, 2025: A make-up examination for third-year medical students in Systemic Pathology, Tumor Pathology section, was held.
  • July 31, 2025: Video recording was completed for the supplementary lectures before the graduation examination in Diagnostic Pathology for sixth-year medical students, which will be held on September 29. Dr. Shinmura was in charge of these lectures. A total of seven supplementary lectures from the Department of Tumor Pathology will be uploaded.
  • July 14, 2025: The regular examination for third-year medical students in Systemic Pathology, Tumor Pathology section, was held. The results will be announced on Tuesday, July 22. We apologize for the delay. Twenty-five students scored 90 points or higher.

  • June 9, 2025: Dr. Hirofumi Watanabe, who conducts research in the Second Department of Internal Medicine and the Department of Tumor Pathology, received the Shomon-kai Academic Encouragement Award from the Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Alumni Association and gave a research presentation at the university's anniversary ceremony on June 9.

  • May 30, 2025: The paper "Survival Benefit of Palliative Oophorectomy for Patients With Ovarian Metastasis From Baseline Metastatic Gastric Adenocarcinoma," co-authored by Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was published online in the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
  • May 22, 2025: A paper on small intestinal cancer by Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was accepted by Neoplasia and was published online on the journal website today.
  • May 22, 2025: A paper on mesothelioma submitted by Dr. Shinya Katsuragi when he was a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology was accepted by Diagnostics and was published online on the journal website today
  • April 27, 2025: Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, presented two posters on gastric cancer and the tumor immune microenvironment at the AACR Annual Meeting 2025, held in Chicago, USA.
  • April 21, 2025: The Systemic Pathology lectures for third-year medical students, Tumor Pathology section, began. The lectures will continue until June 24, and the examination for the Tumor Pathology section will be held on July 14.
  • April 17-19, 2025: We attended the 114th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pathology, held in Sendai. Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura gave a general oral presentation on lung cancer research; Dr. Rei Ishikawa gave a general oral presentation on small intestinal cancer research; Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki gave a general oral presentation on lung cancer research; and Dr. Shinmura chaired a general oral session on the upper gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai was in charge of work requested by the Japanese Society of Pathology in relation to his invited lecture at the British pathology meeting held in the previous fiscal year.
  • April 6, 2025: Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki entered the doctoral program and joined the Department of Tumor Pathology as a graduate student.
  • March 24, 2025: A farewell party was held for Dr. Shinya Katsuragi and Dr. Hirofumi Watanabe of the Department of Tumor Pathology. Congratulations to both of them on completing their graduate studies.
  • March 24, 2025: Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki, a technical staff member, took and passed the Hazardous Materials Engineer examination for Class B, Category 4.
  • March 13, 2025: Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki, a technical staff member, gave an oral presentation at the FY2024 In-University Technical Report Meeting and Research Meeting of the Technical Division. The presentation title was "Voluntary Inspection of Local Exhaust Ventilation Systems: Understanding Static Pressure Distribution."
  • March 12, 2025: Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki, a technical staff member, attended the Health Engineering and Hygiene Manager training course, passed the examination, and obtained a Health Engineering and Hygiene Manager license.

  • February 28, 2025: A paper on small cell lung cancer by Dr. Hirofumi Watanabe, a graduate student conducting research in the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Second Department of Internal Medicine, and the Department of Tumor Pathology, was accepted by NPJ Precision Oncology.
  • February 4-6, 2025: Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki, a technical staff member, attended a training course for voluntary inspectors of local exhaust ventilation systems and related equipment, and obtained a certificate of completion.
  • February 12, 2025: A press release on research by Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, conducted in collaboration with The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, clarifying part of the antitumor mechanism of HSP90 inhibitors in gastric cancer, was posted on the news page of our university website.

  • December 16, 2024: Dr. Augustin NZITAKERA, who obtained his Ph.D. in Tumor Pathology and returned to his home country at the end of November, presented his research findings on colorectal cancer at the 24th Congress of the African Society of Hepato-Gastro-Enterology held in Rwanda.

  • November 24, 2024: An original article regarding new treatments for gastric cancer and their impact on the tumor immune environment, authored by Assistant Professor Yoshimura, has been accepted for publication in the journal Cancer Letters.
  • November 17, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor of the Department of Tumor Pathology, served as the lecturer on reversed CPC at the November Basic Course organized by the General Laboratory Testing Group of the Aichi Association of Medical Technologists.

  • November 11, 2024: Basic clinical training for third-year medical students begins (lasts until December 20).
  • November 7-10, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor of the Department of Tumor Pathology, attended the 61st Annual Meeting of the American Society of Dermatopathology (ASDP).
  • November 2, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor of the Department of Tumor Pathology, served as the lecturer for Special Program III, "Reversed CPC: Developing Skills to Interpret Pathophysiology," at the 62nd Annual Congress of the Chubu Branch of the Japanese Association of Medical Technologists in 2024.
  • November 1, 2024: As part of the pathology clerkship (seminar) for second-year medical students, we had them solve a pathology diagnosis challenge problem using virtual tumor slides. Between October 28 and 30, we received a total of 119 answer sheets, and at first glance, almost all of them exceeded the pass mark. We will now proceed with detailed grading.
  • November 1, 2024: Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, gave a general oral presentation on the tumor-promoting mechanism mediated by the m6A modification of WTAP in non-small cell lung cancer at the 65th Annual Meeting of the Japan Lung Cancer Society in Yokohama.
  • October 13, 2024: A paper titled "TP53 Mutation Status and Consensus Molecular Subtypes of Colorectal Cancer in Patients from Rwanda," authored by Dr. Augustin Nzitakera, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was published on PubMed.
  • October 7, 2024: We invited Mr. Takeshi Sugimaru, who achieved the highest score in the tumor pathology section of the sixth-year medical student graduation examination in pathological diagnosis, to discuss his approach to the examination.
  • October 1, 2024: The results of the tumor pathology section of the sixth-year medical students' final examination in pathological diagnosis were announced, and outstanding students were recognized.
  • September 30, 2024: A welcome party was held for Ms. Sayuri Takeuchi, a technical assistant in the tumor pathology department.

  • September 7, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor of the Department of Tumor Pathology, served as a lecturer at the 4th Dermatopathology Diagnosis Seminar organized by the Japan Dermatopathology Society.
  • August 31, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor of the Department of Tumor Pathology, gave a presentation on the mechanisms of breast cancer development during the oral session of the 64th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Chemistry.　
  • August 25, 2024: Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki of the Department of Tumor Pathology participated in the FY2024 Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Social Contribution Program "Let's Become Inventors - Research and Development Experience Classroom" as a preparation and operation staff.
  • August 1, 2024: Dr. Katsuhiro Yoshimura, Assistant Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, received a grant approval for his gastric cancer research project under the Research Activity Startup Support of Kakenhi for FY2024.
  • July 29, 2024: We began recording videos for the preparatory lectures for the 6th year medical students' final exam in Pathological Diagnosis (scheduled for September 30). The Department of Tumor Pathology plans to offer a total of 7 preparatory lectures. All 7 lectures are expected to be uploaded by early August.
  • July 27, 2024: Dr. Rei Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, received the Outstanding Presentation Award for his research presentation at the 20th The Japanese Society of Pathology.

  • July 12, 2024: Dr. Augustin Nzitakera, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, presented his research on colorectal cancer in Rwanda at the 101st Scientific Meeting of Japanese Society for Cancer of the Colon and Rectum in Nagoya, Japan.
  • July 4, 2024: A paper titled "A Case of Spontaneously Remitted Peritoneal Sarcoidosis" was published in the Journal of the Japan Surgical Association. The paper was authored by Dr. Chisa Shibata of Hamamatsu Rosai Hospital and Shizuoka City Shizuoka Hospital. This was a joint presentation with the Department of Tumor Pathology.
  • July 1, 2024: The final examination for third-year medical students in the Tumor Pathology section of the Pathology course was administered.
  • June 29, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor of the Department of Tumor Pathology, delivered an educational lecture on immunohistochemistry at the training session of the Shizuoka Association of Medical Technologists.
  • June 28, 2024: Professor Shinmura delivered the opening address at the Lung Cancer Symposium, which was hosted by AstraZeneca.
  • June 21, 2024: A research project on small intestinal cancer by Dr. Ishikawa, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was accepted as an intramural research project (graduate student research support project) for the 2024 academic year.
  • June 18, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro Sakai, Associate Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, presented the lecture titled "Elucidation of lymphocyte dynamics and the development of a tumourigenesis model based on the GANP/DSS1 family" at Sheffield Pathology 2024 in the United Kingdom.
  • May 29, 2024: The abstract of the research on colorectal cancer in Rwanda submitted by Dr. NZITAKERA, Augustin, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, was accepted for presentation at the 101st Annual Meeting of Japanese Society for Cancer of the Colon and Rectum (JSCCR).
  • May 23, 2024: Dr. NZITAKERA Augustin, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, has successfully defended his thesis for the award of PhD degree.
  • May 20 and 22, 2024: We conducted a tutorial on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) for third-year medical students who were under the responsibility of the Department of Tumor Pathology.　
  • May 18, 2024: Prof. Shinmura participated in the opening ceremony and commemorative symposium of the Institute of Photonics and Medical Science at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine.
  • April 26, 2024: A research paper entitled "Characterization of BRAFThr599dup Mutation as a Targetable Driver Mutation Identified in Lung Adenocarcinoma by Comprehensive Genomic Profiling." has been published in JCO Precis Oncol. The article is now available on PubMed. The first author of this paper is Dr. WATANABE Hirofumi (Respiratory physician) a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology and also a graduate student in the Department of Respiratory Medicine (Second Department of Internal Medicine).
  • April 16, 2024: The department of Tumor Pathology began teaching pathology to third-year medical students.

  • March 26, 2024: A farewell gathering was held for Dr. Natsume and Ms. Ishino, and a welcome gathering for Associate Professor Sakai and Assistant Professor Yoshimura.
  • March 16, 2024: A slide seminar was held at the 27th Annual Meeting of the Chubu Branch of the Japanese Society of Pathology. Prof. SHINMURA Kazuya was a co-presenter in the presentation by Dr. Haruna Yagi, Seirei Mikatahara Hospital and Department of Pathology, Nagoya University Hospital.
  • March, 11 2024: A research paper entitled " The spectrum of TP53 mutations in Rwandan patients with gastric cancer " has been published in Genes and Environment. The article is now available on PubMed. The first author of this paper is Dr. NZITAKERA Augustin, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology.
  • March 8, 2024: Prof. Shinmura chaired the first part of the 29th Hamamatsu Medical Science Symposium.
  • March 4, 2024: The Department of Tumor Pathology began accepting 6th-year medical students for elective hospital training. (This year, the acceptance period lasted until June 14).

  • January 4, 2024: Dr. Yasuhiro SAKAI, a lecturer at Fujita Medical College, has joined as an Associate Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology.

  • December 18, 2023: Dr. Katsuhiro YOSHIMURA, a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, has joined as an Assistant Teacher in the Department of Tumor Pathology.
  • December 18, 2023: We administered the pathology course examination to second-year medical students. The results will be reported on the 22nd.
  • December 9, 2023: Dr. Shinya KATSURAGI, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, presented a case of a rare case (joint presentation with the Department of Pathology, Seirei Hamamatsu Hospital) at the Chubu-Kokenkai.
  • November 27, 2023: A research paper entitled " High Expression of Fas-Associated Factor 1 Indicates a Poor Prognosis in Non-Small-Cell Lung Cancer " has been published in Curr Oncol. The article is now available on PubMed. The first author of this paper is Dr.HU De, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology.
  • November 14, 2023: We administered the Pathology Practice (Exercise) examination to second-year medical students. The results were reported on the 20th.
  • October 30-November 2, 2023: We completed the "Oncology" training component of the graduate doctoral program in medicine.
  • September 30, 2023: Dr. MANIRAKIZA Felix, a recent graduate of the Department of Tumor Pathology, has returned to Rwanda after completing his studies. He now serves as a Senior Lecturer at University of Rwanda, School of Medicine and Pharmacy and as a Pathologist at University Teaching Hospital Of Kigali.

  • September 30, 2023: Dr. MANIRAKIZA Felix, a recent graduate of the Department of Tumor Pathology, has returned to Rwanda after completing his studies.　
  • September 21, 2023: Dr. NZITAKERA Augustin, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, presented his research on gastric cancer in Rwanda at the English Oral Session during the 82nd Annual Meeting of The Japanese Cancer Association.
  • September 14, 2023: Dr. Shinya Katsuragi, a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology, has successfully passed the 2023 Pathologist Examination.
  • September 11, 2023: The Department of Tumor Pathology began teaching pathology to second-year medical students.
  • June 6, 2023: Dr. Ryosuke Miyazaki of the Department of Tumor Pathology presented his research and pathology methods at a technical presentation organized by the Technology Department of Hamamatsu University School of Medicine.
  • August 31, 2023: Assistant Professor Yuji Iwashita of the Department of Tumor Pathology completed his tenure at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. He has since joined the Cancer Prevention Research Department at the Aichi Cancer Center Research Institute.
  • August 24, 2023: A farewell gathering was organized for Dr. Yuji Iwashita, who served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Tumor Pathology, and Dr. MANIRAKIZA Felix, a graduate student of the said department.
  • August 10, 2023: We have started recording videos of supplementary lectures before the graduation examination of the 6th year medical students (Pathological Diagnosis scheduled for October 2). Seven supplementary lectures are planned for the Department of Tumor Pathology. They will be uploaded sequentially to the educational support system of Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. All seven lectures are expected to be completed by the end of August.

  • May 16, 2023: A research paper entitled "Clinicopathological Characteristics and Mutational Landscape of APC, HOXB13, and KRAS among Rwandan Patients with Colorectal Cancer" has been published in Current Issues in Molecular Biology. The article is now available on PubMed. The first author of this paper is Dr. MANIRAKIZA Felix (Pathologist) a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology.

The article is now available on PubMed. The first author of this paper is Dr. Shinya Katsuragi (Pathologist) a graduate student in the Department of Tumor Pathology.
  • April 4, 2023: Prof. Shinmura participated in the lecture and ceremony for the inauguration of Dr. Yoshiro Matsumoto as Chairman of the Japan Medical Association.
  • April 17, 2023: The department of Tumor Pathology began teaching pathology to third-year medical students.
  • April 3, 2023: The Department of Tumor Pathology began accepting 6th-year medical students for elective hospital training. (This year, the acceptance period lasted until June 16).
  • April 13, 2023: Prof. Shinmura gave an oral presentation at the 112th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Pathology (title: Examination of primary cilia in lung tumors: High-frequency identification of primary cilia in small cell lung cancer and its function).
  • April 12, 2023: "Primary cilia are frequently present in small cell lung carcinomas but not in non-small cell lung carcinomas or lung carcinoids", a research paper by Shinmura et al. has been published in the journal Laboratory Investigations and the article is now available on PubMed.
  • April 1, 2023: Dr. Shinmura was appointed Professor.
