Professor FURUYA Jun

We are in charge of the class of mathematics, e.g. Mathematical Sciences I and II, and Statistics. In these classes, we give a lecture on the foundation of differential and integral calculus, linear algebra, and probability and statistics.
Our research interests are primarily in the areas of number theory. Currently we are working on:

  1. Mean value theorems for number theoretic error terms, especially mean value theorems in the Dirichlet divisor problem and the Gauss circle problem.
  2. The analysis of the differences between discrete mean values and continuous mean values.
  3. The analysis of analytic properties of several types of Dirichlet series.
