Ethics

Associate Professor OSADA Ryo

Whereas natural sciences aim to discover the facts, philosophy and ethics deal with the norms as well as the facts. Clarification and justification of the norms have particular importance in these fields. There are two kinds of norms necessary for medical practices: the scientific methodologies and ethical norms. The Department of Ethics works on these norms and encourages medical and nursing students to adequately consider and apply these norms, both in medical practices and in their lives in general.
