Dentistry & Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Professor MASUMOTO Kazuma

As a general principle, we do not provide routine dental treatments such as those for dental caries or periodontal disease, which are typically offered at general dental clinics. However, we do accommodate patients with systemic conditions or disabilities when such treatment may be difficult to carry out in a standard dental clinic setting.

Our research interests are primarily in the areas of oral surgery and oral cancer. Currently we are working on three projects:

1.The elucidation of the functional role of the property of lymphocytes invading in oral cancer cell nest.
2.Analysis of oral cancer by the microscopic mass spectrometry.
3.Development of the cancer diagnostic method using the high polymer nanomicellar type indocyanine green.
