Professor WATANABE Hiroshi

Clinical Pharmacology is a discipline dedicated to the bench-to-bedside study of drug actions based on an in-depth knowledge of human pharmacology and therapeutics. Clinical Pharmacology plays two major roles - that of enabling personalized medicine via knowledge and information in pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and pharmacogenomics, and that of supporting the development of new drugs and presenting new evidence via clinical trials. Specialists from various clinical fields work in our department treating patients along with providing second opinions in terms of pharmacological therapies and consulting on contemporary drug treatments.
