We are aiming for translational research that accurately grasps the characteristics of elemental technologies created in basic research, determines the optimal application target, and leads to practical medical problem solving.
Our approach is to use spectroscopic techniques to investigate the interaction between light and biomolecules in detail and apply that knowledge to elucidate the molecular mechanism of neuromuscular disorders. The goal of our research is to develop novel medical technology that is practically useful for each patient, by combining optical technology with information technology.
Our current research projects are:
1). Development novel histopathological diagnostic method of neuromuscular disorders using spectroscopy,
2). Development of augmented reality technology to improve gait disturbance in Parkinson's disease patients, and
3). Development of information technology that realizes smart medical care
