On October 1st, the Entrance Ceremony for the Graduate School of Medicine at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine was held in the 2nd Conference Room of the Headquarters Building on campus, welcoming four international students to our doctoral degree program: three from China and one from Bangladesh.
The ceremony was conducted entirely in English. After presentation of the admission letter, President Watanabe delivered his address, saying, "As you begin your doctoral studies today, I encourage you to take on unanswered questions, create new knowledge, and contribute to the future of medicine and health care. At the same time, I hope you will take the opportunity to experience Japanese culture, history, and traditions, and to build friendships with people here in Hamamatsu and throughout Japan."
