Welcome to HUSM! Academic Year 2026 Entrance Ceremony

On the 7th of April, the Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Entrance Ceremony was held in the Concert Hall at Act City Hamamatsu.
This year, HUSM welcomed 232 new students: 108 undergraduate students and 5 second-year transfer students in the Faculty of Medicine, 60 undergraduate students and 5 third-year transfer students in the Faculty of Nursing, 32 doctoral students in the Graduate School of Medicine, 3 Inter-university Curriculum doctoral students, 2 doctoral students in the Graduate School of Nursing and 17 master's students.
After the awarding of the admission letters and the oath by a new student representative, President Watanabe encouraged students, saying, "I sincerely hope that you will devote yourselves humbly and wholeheartedly to your studies, engage in deep learning and reflection, cultivate the sensitivity to empathize with people who are suffering, and grow into excellent medical professionals and researchers who, as stated in the concluding part of our founding vision, "contribute to the health and welfare of all humankind".
