Academic Year 2025 Diploma Awarding Ceremony

On March 11th 2026, the Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Diploma Awarding Ceremony was held at the Act City Hall. This year, a total of 223 students graduated, including: 117 from the Faculty of Medicine, 59 from the Faculty of Nursing, 24 from the Medical Doctoral Degree Program, 2 as a Doctor of Medical Photonics, 18 from the Nursing Master's Degree Program, and 3 Ph.D. by dissertation only.
Before the opening ceremony, the HUSM student orchestra performed the "Waltz" from "The Sleeping Beauty," composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, which created a solemn atmosphere throughout the hall.
In the ceremony, following conferring diplomas and giving commendations for academic excellence awards to 2 Medical students and 1 Nursing student, President Watanabe delivered his commencement address to the students: "Take pride in what you have learned at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine, cherish the many connections you have built here, and move forward with respect for others. The attitude of valuing and respecting your patients, your colleagues, and the families who support you forms the foundation of a trusted medical professional. I sincerely hope that each of your journeys will become a source of hope for many people and contribute to building a better future for healthcare."
The ceremony concluded with acknowledgments and the presentation of commemorative gifts by representatives of graduating students and diploma recipients.
