The 6th International Student Research Presentation and Welcome Event were held
Nov 22, 2024
On October 30th (Wed.), the Research Presentation by seven international doctoral students in their third year was organized by the International Center. Now in its sixth year, this annual presentation was held to allow third-year doctoral students to present the results of their research conducted over three years at HUSM and to encourage new and current international students to pursue their own studies. The presentations and Q&A sessions were all conducted in English, and after each student's presentation, there were many questions from international students and faculty members, enriching the presenters' research perspectives. Following the Research Presentation, the Welcome Event was held to welcome the six new international students who enrolled in April and October 2024. This event resumed after a five-year suspension since 2019 due to the spread of COVID-19. The international students, who had felt nervous during their presentations, enjoyed chatting with each other over refreshments in a friendly atmosphere throughout the event. Approximately 50 people attended the Research Presentation and the Welcome Event, including Dr. Unno, Chairman of the HUSM International Exchange Supporters' Club, along with international students, undergraduate students, faculty members, and others. It was a valuable opportunity for international students to deepen their friendship with each other and with Japanese students and faculty members.
