On Thursday, February 22, our President Hiroyuki Konno and five others visited the College of Medicine, Taipei Medical University (TMU) in Taipei, Taiwan, and attended the signing ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic exchange with TMU.
This MOU will realize the academic exchange of students, research projects, etc. that were discussed when the MOU on mutual cooperation was signed with the Office of Business Development of TMU in October 2022. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Han-Pin Kuo, Dean of College of Medicine, Taipei Medical University, and eight others, who exchanged views on future exchanges between the two universities.
On the following day, Friday the 23rd, HUSM delegation had a meeting with President Mai-Szu Wu who had visited HUSM in the past, Vice President of TMU, and other members of the international relations department to discuss the possibility of exchange, including the College of Nursing and industry-academia-government collaboration.
Established in 1960, Taipei Medical University is a comprehensive medical university with 11 colleges, including the College of Medicine, College of Oral Medicine, College of Pharmacy, College of Nursing, and College of Public Health, and 6 affiliated hospitals. Aside from its location directly below Taipei 101, the symbol of Taipei City, the university is vibrant and deserving of its position as a leader in cutting-edge Taiwanese medicine, and we look forward to continued collaboration with TMU in a variety of fields in the future.
