Welcome to HUSM! Academic Year 2022 Entrance Ceremony

On the 7^th of April, the Hamamatsu University School of Medicine Entrance Ceremony was held in Hamamatsu city center, in the main hall at Act City. Due to persisting COVID-19 concerns, the event was held on a reduced scale, with attendees limited to new students, plus one family member per student, alongside a minimal number of administrative officers.

This year, HUSM welcomed 242 new students: 114 undergraduate students and 5 second-year transfer students in the Faculty of Medicine, 60 undergraduate students and 3 third-year transfer students in the Faculty of Nursing, 35 doctoral students in the Graduate School of Medicine, 3 Inter-university Curriculum doctoral students, 17 master's students and 5 students of the newly established doctoral course in the Graduate School of Nursing this year.

After the awarding of the admission letters and the oath by a new student representative, President Konno encouraged students, saying, "Please be sincere and humble in your studies. All of us will do our utmost to support and guide you. I truly hope that you will grow and make a leap forward while at this university."
