The 18th Kyungpook-Hamamatsu Joint Medical Symposium Hamamatsu Meeting
On 4th June 2019, the 19th Kyungpook-Hamamatsu Joint Medical Symposium was held in Daegu, Korea, at our affiliated university, Kyungpook National University School of Medicine (KNU). This year, KNU was the host of this joint medical symposium that has alternated each year with HUSM since 2001.
This joint symposium aims to solidify the cooperation of both universities as well as contributing to the development of medical knowledge through exchanges via annual presentations, poster sessions and discussion sessions.
On 3rd June, President Konno lead a contingent of 28 doctors and researchers from HUSM to Daegu, Korea, and attended a welcome reception to have an opportunity to socialize with KNU counterparts. The following day, the Joint Medical Symposium started with addresses by Jong Myung Lee, Dean of KNU School of Medicine, Hee-Sook Kim, Dean of KNU College of Nursing and President Konno. Throughout 20 presentations and 18 poster sessions, there were many exchanges of ideas.
We all look forward to the next symposium in 2020 in Hamamatsu.
