International students are required to obtain Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted by the Status of Residence Previously Granted (資格外活動許可) when working pat-time in Japan, except for TA/RA positions. With this permission, they may work up to 28 hours per week. Students who have already obtained the permission have an approval seal on the back of their residence card. To obtain this permission, students must apply at the Immigration Services Agency.
The university is also required to monitor international students' activities outside their residence status. Therefore, we kindly ask students to submit a part-time job registration form.
Students who currently have a part-time job, or who plan to start, change, or leave a job, should complete the job description in the form below. After obtaining confirmation from your supervisor, please submit the form to the International Center.
Please note that intentional concealment of employment status may result in the suspension of scholarship payments.
