Head Prof. NAKAMURA Katsumasa

The Regional Medical Education and System Development Center was established in April 2025 with the aim of training physicians who will be active in medically underserved areas of Shizuoka Prefecture, in collaboration with local governments, medical institutions, and other stakeholders. Through student education, residency programs, and specialist training programs, the Center promotes the development of general practitioners and specialists with a deep understanding of general medicine, as well as their retention in underserved areas. The Center contributes to the enhancement of healthcare and the establishment of a sustainable medical system in these regions.
