An Article on FD Lecture (Held on Dec. 25, 2024) Has Been Posted on the University of Washington Bothell Website
On Wednesday, December 25, 2024, we invited Dr. Kosuke Niitsu, Assistant Professor at the University of Washington Bothell ("UW Bothell"), to deliver an FD lecture titled "Mental Health Care in the United States and the Practice of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)"
Dr. Niitsu, a graduate of the University of Nebraska Medical Center, one of our partner universities, currently works in nursing education at UW Bothell while also serving as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) at the UW Bothell Counseling Center for students.
During the lecture, Dr. Niitsu shared his journey to becoming a nurse in the U.S., his experiences as a nursing student and professional, and also explained the differences in nursing education between Japan and the U.S., all while engaging the audience with humor and interactive participation. The lecture was well-received, with many nursing students and faculty members in attendance, and it concluded successfully.
Please refer to the article about the lecture, which has been featured on the UW Bothell website. We look forward to Dr. Niitsu's continued success.
