28NEWSLETTER大学院医学系研究科医学専攻（博士課程）3年医化学講座されたポンディシェリ大学で生物工学の学士号とバイオインフォマティクスの修士号を取得しました。この大学は、高等教育と研究に力を入れていることで知られています。バイオインフォマティクス学科は、生物学、コンピュータサイエンス、データ解析をいます。です。公用語であるタミル語は、現存する最古の言語のひとつであり、この地域の豊かな文化遺産と呼応しています。私はポンディシェリ（別名プドゥシェリ）に住む機会に恵まれました。かつてのフランス人居住区とタミル文化ゲンビリアに囲まれています。ポンディシェリは五感を楽しませるだけでなく、高等教育の象徴的存在でもあります。ポンディシェリ大学は、インド全域の学生を惹きつけるそれと同時に、数多くの工科大学、工業専門学校、芸術・科学系の教育機関があり、この地域の高等豊かな世界を体感することができます。MANSOOR HUSSAIN Ummul Halilunnisa インドI am from Tamil Nadu, India. I earned my B.Sc. in Biotechnolog y and M.Sc. in Bioinformatics from Pondicherry University, established in 1985. The university is known for its strong focus on higher e d u c a t i o n a n d r e s e a r c h . T h e D e p a r t m e n t o f B i o i n f o r m a t i c s i s p a r t i c u l a r l y n o t a b l e f o r i t s interdisciplinary approach, combining biology, computer science, and data analytics. It offers solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills, preparing students for the fast-paced fields of modern biology and computational science.Tamil Nadu, a vibrant southern state in India. Tamil, its official language, stands as one of the oldest living languages, echoing the region's rich cultural heritage. I was privileged to live in Pondicherry, also known as Puducherry. It's a picturesque blend of French Quarter and Tamil culture. All framed by lush bougainvillaea. Pondicherry is not just a feast for the senses but also a beacon of higher education. The Pondicherry University, a c e n t r a l u n i v e r s i t y o f f e r i n g a d i v e r s e a r r a y o f postgraduate, research, and professional programs that attract students nationwide. The renowned Jawaharlal I nstitute of Postg ra duate Medical Education a nd Research (JIPMER) positions Pondicherry as a leading medical education and research hub. Also, numerous engineering colleges, polytechnics, and arts and science institutions bolster the reg ion's impressive Gross Enrolment Ratio in higher education. By choosing Pondicherry, we can embrace a vibrant tapestry of culture, education, and opportunity.Life in Hamamatsu is relatively quiet, clean, and convenient, reminding me of my hometown in India. The city has everything a resident might need: shopping centres, hospitals, schools, and public transport, while retaining a charming suburban feel. Hamamatsu has a growing international community, including people from India, Brazil, the Philippines, and Vietnam. Signs and services are available in multiple languages, which is very helpful for foreign residents. The Hamamatsu Intercultural Centre supports these residents with education, translation, and legal assistance. However, one challenge I face in Hamamatsu is visiting the hospital; it can be difficult to consult a doctor, and the process is often time-consuming. People here value harmony in work, relationships, and the environment. Daily life is safe, organised, and welcoming.日本に来るまではどこでどんな勉強をしていましたか？ 私はインドのタミル・ナードゥ州の出身です。1985年に設立出身国（地域）はどのようなところですか？教育事情は？浜松での生活はどうですか？浜松での生活で大変なことはありますか？組み合わせた学際的なアプローチで特に有名です。確かな理論的知識と実践的スキルを提供し、めまぐるしく変化する現代の生物学や計算科学の分野に対応できる学生を育ててタミル・ナードゥ州は、インド南部の活気あふれる州が融合した絵のように美しいこの地は、緑豊かなブー多彩な大学院課程、研究プログラム、専門プログラムを提供している中心的な大学です。インド政府直轄の権威あるジャワハルラール医科大学 大学院医学教育・研究機構（JIPMER）は、ポンディシェリを医学教育と研究の主要拠点として位置づけています。教育総就学率を押し上げています。ポンディシェリを選べば、文化、教育、そして多様な機会に満ちた浜 松での生 活は比 較 的 静かで、清 潔で、便利で、インドの故郷を思い出させます。浜松は魅力的な郊外の街で、ショッピングセンター、病院、学校、公共交通機関など、住民が必要とするものはすべて揃っており、インド、ブラジル、フィリピン、ベトナムなど、国際的なコミュニティーも広がっています。標識やサービスは多言語で用意されており、外国人居住者にとっては非常に助かります。そして浜松市多文化共生センターが、教育、翻訳、法的支援などで外国人居住者を支援してくれています。ただ、浜松での課題のひとつは病院を受診することです。医師に相談するのが難しく、手続きにも時間がかかることがよくあります。浜松の人々は仕事、人間関係、環境の調和を大切にしており、日常生活は安全で、秩序があり、居心地がいいです。▲ A stroll at PU in the eveningポンディシェリ大学での夕方の散歩▲ In the heart of busy cities, the Promenade stands as a serene retreat, where gentle waves bring a sense of peace and relaxation.賑やかな都会の真ん中で、遊歩道は穏やかな隠れ家のように佇み、やさしい波が安らぎとくつろぎをもたらしてくれます。▲ One can’t get enough of the beautiful autumn, where the falling leaves symbolise renewal, reminding us that we too can rejuvenate ourselves in our research journey.美しい秋には何度でも魅了されます。再生の象徴である落ち葉が、私たちも研究の道のりで再び元気を取り戻すことができると教えてくれます。出身国InternationalStudentIntroduction 留学生 の紹介What and where did you study before coming to Japan?How is your country (or city) like?
