留学生の紹介日本に来る前はどこでどんな勉強をしていましたか ？私は、南アジアにある豊かな緑と多くの川や水路が特徴的な国、バングラデシュから来ました。バングラデシュは人口が多い国です。国民は幸せでフレンドリーでそして協力的です。日本に来る前、私は母国にあるイスラミック大学の応用化学・化学工学科修士課程を修了しました。私の知識欲に終わりはなく、さらに研究に取り組みたいと考えていました。母国には研究機関が多くありません。最新設備も不足していますし、研究をするための材料も十分ではありません。そこで、研究のための最新技術や必要なものがそろっている日本で研究する決心をしました。浜松医科大学に来たきっかけは？政府の奨学金で博士課程に進むのが夢でした。私は、修士課程在籍中に結婚しましたが、その当時、夫が浜松医科大学の学生だったこともあり、浜松医科大学は私の第一志望校でした。細胞分子解剖学講座の瀬藤光利教授の研究分野が興味深かったため、母国で修士課程を修了した後、浜松医科大学博士課程を受験しました。幸い、瀬藤教授は私を博士課程の学生として受け入れてくださり、先生の指導のもとで研究を続けられることになりました。こうして今、私は浜松にいます。浜松での生活は？研究活動は忙しいですが、浜松では快適に過ごしています。夫が良き先輩・相談者としていてくれるため恵まれていると思います。夫のおかげで私の浜松での生活はより円滑なものになりました。浜松には、病院、スーパー、観光地などが充実していますが、商業地域でもなく人口が過密な場所でもないので、安心して生活できます。さらに、浜松の景観の美しさは、私の研究への集中力を高めてくれました。小さな川沿いや公園を歩くと、精神的にとてもリフレッシュできます。浜松での生活はとても平和で、何事もなく研究を続けるための精神的、身体的な支えになっています。Study before coming to Japan I am from Bangladesh, which is a South Asian country marked by lush greenery and many waterways. This is a populated country. People are happy, friendly, and cooperative. Before coming to Japan, I just have completed my Master's course from the department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Islamic University, Bangladesh. As my thirst for knowledge has not been finished, and wanted to engage myself with research. In my country, research facilities are not vast. There is a shortage of high-tech equipment and enough materials for doing research. So, I decided to come to Japan to do research. As I know, there is the availability of the latest technology and materials for doing research.Hamamatsu lifeLife in Hamamatsu is mitigative, though I have to pass busy time for my research work. I am blessed for getting my husband as a mentor. He has performed all responsibilities and made my Hamamatsu life smoother. In Hamamatsu, there is an availability of hospitals, super shops, visiting places etc. This area is not so commercial and overcrowded. Besides, the scenic beauty of Hamamatsu made me more attentive in my research. I get so much mental refreshment when I walk beside small canals, parks. Fortunately, when I was doing a Master's course in my country at that time, I got married, and my husband was the present student of Hamamatsu University School of Medicine. So, Hamamatsu University School of Medicine was my first priority. After completing my Master's course, I applied for the Ph.D. program under the supervision of prof. Mitsutoshi Setou, as his research field, was interesting for me. Fortunately, he accepted me as a Ph.D. student to continue research under his supervision.
